OUR MISSION

The Office of Youth & Young Adult Ministry (OYYAM) in the Diocese of Corpus Christi develops and supports leadership for youth and young adult ministry.

The Office serves primarily parishes and deaneries by providing support, resources, consultations, and training opportunities for youth and parish leaders in accordance with the principles of Renewing the Vision (RTV) published by the U.S. Bishops (NCCB, 1997). RTV challenges us to foster the personal and spiritual development of youth, young adults, and their families. The Office is committed to assisting parishes to develop a comprehensive youth ministry.

Resources and training for Young Adult Training (ages 20's - 30's) are available through our office. Check out the National Catholic Young Adult Ministry Association (NCYAMA)!

The Office of Youth/Young Adult Ministry has one full-time director in Corpus Christi. The diocese covers 12 counties in South Texas and is composed of sixty-six parishes and thirty-four missions.

The Office is currently affiliated with the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry (NFCYM), and Region X (Dioceses of Arkansas, Texas, and Oklahoma)
